Formula One television coverage is set to return to the BBC after ITV said it would end its deal to show live coverage of the races this year.

The BBC has regained the rights to Formula One and has signed a five-year deal, understood to be worth £200m, starting in 2009. ITV says it pulled out for commercial reasons.
