<p align="justify">&#8220;Only serious, safe tuning will bring the hoped-for driving pleasure!“ Under this motto, the Association of German Car Tuners (VDAT) every year launches a special concept car. In 2010, BMW AG is providing a BMW 123d Coupé for the Association&#8217;s &#8220;TUNE IT! SAFE!“ initiative, which is also supported by the Police and the Federal Ministry for Transport, Building and Road Development. Most of the vehicle accessory equipment has been supplied by Aachen-based BMW tuning specialist AC Schnitzer.</p>
<p align="justify">As in the last four years, a police vehicle has been professional converted as part of the promotion. The AC Schnitzer &#8220;ACS1 2.3d“, based on the BMW 123d Coupé, shows that safe tuning is far from boring. VDAT-member AC Schnitzer has upgraded the 2.3 D engine to 241 HP (177 kW) and 480 Nm. The police car with 6-speed <span style="border-bottom: 0.2em dotted #2b65b0 ! important; font-weight: normal ! important; font-size: 100% ! important; text-decoration: none ! important; padding-bottom: 0px ! important; color: #2b65b0 ! important; background-color: transparent ! important; background-image: none; padding-top: 0pt; padding-right: 0pt; padding-left: 0pt;">automatic transmission</span> now accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, so would acquit itself well even in the fastest pursuit. The latest AC Schnitzer wheels Type IV BiColor are fitted with tyres from TUNE IT! SAFE! main sponsor Hankook. The low, safe road position is achieved with the sports suspension from the Aachen-based specialist with 30 mm lowering. The bodystyling kit consists of two-piece front spoiler, rear skirt insert, rear wing and rear roof spoiler. Good visibility is ensured by the &#8220;LEDayFlex“ modern daytime running lights from Hella, and optimum rearward vision by the AC Schnitzer &#8220;New Generation&#8221; sports mirrors.</p>
<p align="justify">In the interior, the guardians of the law could enjoy leather racing bucket seats with AC Schnitzer logo and silver genuine carbon fibre trim on the dashboard, centre console, door handles and steering wheel, which are perfectly complemented by the aluminium pedals and aluminium foot rests. A further highlight is the G-force indicator, which measures and displays the centrifugal forces inside the car.</p>
<p align="justify">The concept car impressively demonstrates large parts of the tuning accessory range from AC Schnitzer. To give the BMW the essential, authentic look of a &#8220;real&#8221; police car, Foliatec supplied the original stickering and Hella the flashing lights. Even the police could &#8211; and would like to &#8211; drive the converted vehicle in public road traffic. To their regret however, the concept car will not be brought into use and is not available in this complex form. Nonetheless, it makes an important contribution towards achieving the aim of the initiative: to combat illegal, unsafe tuning and counterfeiting. All AC Schnitzer conversions are however available commercially and are of course TÜV-approved.</p>
<p align="justify">The AC Schnitzer &#8220;ACS1 2.3d Coupé“ will be on display for the first time at the Essen Motor Show on VDAT Stand No. 406 in Hall 10 from 28 November to 6 December 2009. &#8220;Serious and safe tuning is not only a company philosophy, but it is also our mission“, emphasises Rainer Vogel, Managing Director of AC Schnitzer. And you can take this literally: Safe tuning with components from a reputable manufacturer not only brings the desired driving pleasure, but can even be lifesaving.</p>

<p align="justify">The BMW Z4 as standard is far from under-powered. But as is well known, enthusiastic drivers can never have enough power. Sufficient reason then for AC Schnitzer to upgrade the Z4 3.5i Turbo to 286 km/h. With a power of 360 HP and an unladen weight of 1485 kg, the open-top roadster from BMW accelerates from a standing start to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Even the most demanding driver will be delighted with this <span style="border-bottom: 0.2em dotted #2b65b0 ! important; font-weight: normal ! important; font-size: 100% ! important; text-decoration: none ! important; padding-bottom: 0px ! important; color: #2b65b0 ! important; background-color: transparent ! important; background-image: none; padding-top: 0pt; padding-right: 0pt; padding-left: 0pt;">performance</span>.</p>
<p align="justify">The driving experience is enhanced acoustically and visually by the stainless steel sports rear silencer and the chromed Racing tailpipe trims.</p>
<p align="justify">Equally sporting is the AC Schnitzer suspension variant in the Z4. Thanks to a new spring kit, the transverse acceleration appears to bypass the conventional laws of nature.</p>
<p align="justify">This impression is certainly partly supported by the aerodynamic components made of PU-Rim, a high quality flexible plastic. The aerodynamic pack for the new BMW Z4 consists of a chrome front grille and front spoiler, where both components combine to give a more muscular look to the long bonnet lines.</p>
<p align="justify">New sports fenders, consisting of wheel arches with integral air outlets for improved cooling of the front brakes and chromed deflectors, optimise the side lines of the roadster.</p>
<p align="justify">Finally, the two-piece rear spoiler gives the rear of the BMW Z4 by AC Schnitzer an impressive look; because of the performance of the car, this is probably the aspect which will be seen most by other drivers!</p>
<p align="justify">In the inside, both driver and passenger enjoy an impressive interior. The aluminium cover for the i-Drive System Controller, the aluminium foot rests and pedal set, are just a few of the ergonomically perfect controls which give the vehicle elegance and enhance the sporting ambience.</p>
<p>Standing on AC Schnitzer Type IV in 18” or Type VI wheels in 18, 19 or 20 inch, the BMW Z4 takes to the stage for its world premiere. A striking entrance from the Aachen specialist, which will certainly not be forgotten in a hurry.</p>

One of the displayed highlights of the 450 square metre large HAMANN stand is the world premiere of the TYCOON EVO which is based on the BMW X6. The revolutionary difference to its predecessor is the newly designed fender extensions and the striking rear. The visual and sonorous highlights of the rear part are the earthy sports exhaust system with the remarkable centre double end pipes.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>The TYCOON EVO– an auto-body pack which sets benchmarks </strong></p>
<p align="justify">Already the design department at HAMANN-Motorsport ensures that the TYCOON EVO meets the expectations in his name. They designed and developed an impressive broad makeover for this BMW crossover model and ensured that all accessories reflect and perfect the shape of the car. The masculine appearance of the TYCOON EVO is mainly emphasised by its new front wings and back wing extensions made of light composite material. They broaden the body by striking 60 millimetres. The perfectly designed side skirts render the optical connection while the front apron is an outstanding eye-catcher with its large air inlets and the LED daytime running lights under the serial headlights. At the rear of the X6, HAMANN engineers replaced the original skirt with an own development. This makes place for the sporty and earthy exhaust system with the centre double end pipes. The back appearance of the TYCOON EVO is enhanced by a rear- and roof spoiler. It goes without saying that all used HAMANN-components do not only convince with their design but also with their aerodynamics. They ensure an optimised air flow over the car silhouette and render an additional downthrust.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>Perfectly styled from head to toe – the suitable rim in XXL format </strong></p>
<p align="justify">The suitable rim for the broad makeover of the BMW X6 is the DESIGN EDITION RACE ANODIZED. The ultra-light forged wheel combines both agility and also elegance. The black rim star and the titanium bolting underline the dynamics of the wheel. The highly polished rim flange on the contrary gives the car a noble impression. HAMANN offers the 23-inch wheel with tyres sized 315/25 R 23. Special chassis springs fantastically enhance the light alloy wheels. Thereby, progressively coiled springs lower the barycentre of this Sports Utility Vehicle by maximally 40 millimetres at the front- and back axle.</p>

The tuning expert bestows the X6 xDrive35i with an engine output of 360 hp / 265 kW at 5230 rpm. Parallelly, the maximum torque rises by 140 Nm to 540 Nm in the rpm-range between 1300 and 5000. At the same time, HAMANN also suspends the speed limit of 250 km/h and allows impressive 275 km/h.</p>
<p align="justify">The Diesel series also profits from extra power. After the serial motronic is re-programmed, the xDrive30d has 265 PS / 195 kW and transfers a maximum torque of 600 Nm to the crankshaft. The engine variation xDrive35d also turns into a racy sprinter: HAMANN is able to tease 320 PS / 235 KW and a sensational torque of 660 Nm at 2000 rpm out of the Diesel car</p>
<p align="justify">The maximum performance enhancement HAMANN offers is for the eight-cylinder model xDrive50i. By using a new motor electronics map and by applying metal catalysts and the matching sport exhaust system, the engine output increase to 501 hp / 368 kW at 5,600 r.p.m. (serial version: 407 hp / 300 kW at 5,500 r.p.m.). The maximum torque rises to enormous 700 Nm at 3,700 r.p.m (serial version: 600 Nm at 1,750 r.p.m.). Also the maximum speed rises significantly and only misses the 300 km/h notch by a whisker.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>The inner values of HAMANN – noble accessories for the TYCOON EVO interior</strong></p>
<p>In addition to the present, serial inner design, HAMANN offers accessories made of high-quality aluminium. Pedals and foot rests render motorsports sensations and perfectly match the 12-part HAMANN decoration set made of carbon fibre. An instrument dial with a scaling up to 300 km/h and a 3-spoke sport steering wheel further underline the sportive overall appearance of the TYCOON EVO. For the boot of the X6, HAMANN offers an elegant and also practical boot mat with chequered decorative stitching and an embroidered logo.</p>

<p align="justify">Of course a 107 hp additional power leave its marks at the performance figures. The figure from stand still to 200 km/h improves from standard 18,1 seconds to impressive 14,7 seconds. The G-POWER SILVERSTONE alloy wheels have been exclusively designed for the current BMW models. Due to the successful combination of double spokes and the &#8220;concave design&#8221; typical of G-POWER they separate the BMW M3 E46 and Z4M form the rest of the mass production. The G-POWER “diamond cut” provides for the fascinating dynamic appearance of the G-POWER SILVESTONE rim, in contrast to the silver-graphite coated rim body and the bolt applications of stainless steel. An additional feature of the G-POWER SILVERSTONE rim is its weight-optimised design that allows a low rim weight with the same stability, compared to other standard wheels. A perceptibly improved impression of convenience and a considerably increased agility accompany the minimisation of the unsprung mass: advantages of the G-POWER SILVERSTONE rim, which you can factually experience especially in combination with the low-profile tyres from MICHELIN in the dimension 245/30 ZR 20 and 285/25 ZR 20. <p>The cost for the 20 inch G-POWER SILVERSTONE DIAMOND complete wheel set incl. MICHELIN Pilot Sport tyres in the dimension 245/30 ZR 20 and 285/25 ZR 20 is 4.422,17 &amp;eur;, the G-POWER coil-over suspension RS is 1.205,88 &amp;eur; and the G-POWER sport rear muffler is 1.079,83 &amp;eur;. The output increase with the help of the G-POWER SK I supercharger system for BMW M3 E46 and Z4M is 10.495,80 &amp;eur; plus the installation.</p>

<p align="justify">&#8220;The new model is certainly the most dynamic 7-series ever, so we&#8217;ve only made subtle changes to the outline“, explains AC Schnitzer Chief Designer Michele Viandante. His philosophy: &#8220;Our accessories set important accents and emphasise the sporting characteristics of the saloon in a targeted manner.“ These are already written large in the imposing front, which is emphasised by a new AC Schnitzer spoiler element. Michele Viandante&#8217;s tip: The through lip elongates the front and gives the car a faster look.<span id="more-129"></span></p>
<p align="justify">Like all accessories from AC Schnitzer, it is made of very hardwearing, well-fitting PU RIM. Subtle but striking also describes the effects of the side enhancements: &#8220;The result must be a harmonious ensemble, and not a combination of trainers and tuxedo“, says Viandante. The AC Schnitzer side skirts attachments emphasise the car&#8217;s wheelbase and lengthen it visually, giving it a more purposeful appearance. Towards the rear third, they are lifted and widened to give the car a more muscular look.</p>
<p align="justify">This is no bluff, because the new 7-series has plenty of power under the bonnet in every version, even when the music&#8217;s playing at the back. The sight of AC Schnitzer tailpipes is as striking as the sound: two exhaust channels come together in a slightly rounded, chromed trapezoid trim – all very individual. But that&#8217;s not enough for sporting attributes. Between the exhausts, Michele Viandante has introduced a further spoiler element which with its diffuser style symbolises pure dynamics. Only the subtle boot spoiler and rear roof spoiler remain to complete the look.</p>

<h2>Interior design:</h2>
<p align="justify">• The BMW Concept 5 Series Gran Turismo offers a spacious and luxurious ambience with inspiring and modern interior design. As the world’s only combination of variable spaciousness and uncompromising premium quality, this new concept car also stands out through the most sophisticated materials and excellent quality of fi nish. Supreme harmony in interior design, refl ected by the trim surfaces extending from the front to the rear doors, creates a modern symbiosis of the two seats at the front and the seats at the rear. The panorama glass roof, in turn, further intensifi es the light and generous ambience inside the car, while the stylish cockpit emphasises the sheer width of the vehicle through its horizontal lines, black panel technology and a fully integrated 10.2-inch Control Display.</p>
<p align="justify">• Supreme seating comfort, ample headroom and elbow room in the front provide the standard of a luxury performance automobile, the slightly elevated seating position ensures an optimum overview and makes access to the car particularly comfortable. In this confi guration, luggage compartment capacity is 430 litres or 15.1 cubic feet. The partition wall behind the rear seats separates the passenger and luggage compartments from one another in terms of both acoustics and climate conditions, like in a sedan. If necessary, the rear seats move fore-and-aft by up to 100 millimetres or more than 3.9&#8243; – so that with the seats moved as far forward as possible, the occupants still enjoy the same legroom as in the <span style="border-bottom: 0.2em dotted #2b65b0 ! important; font-weight: normal ! important; font-size: 100% ! important; text-decoration: none ! important; padding-bottom: 0px ! important; color: #2b65b0 ! important; background-color: transparent ! important; background-image: none; padding-top: 0pt; padding-right: 0pt; padding-left: 0pt;">BMW 5 Series</span> Sedan, with luggage capacity increasing to 570 litres or almost 20 cubic feet. Then, once folding down the rear seat backrests and the partition wall, the luggage compartment further increases in size to its maximum capacity of 1,650 litres or nearly 58 cubic feet. The fi rm cover on the luggage compartment may be stowed away in the fl oor of the compartment, again in the interest of extra convenience.</p>
<p align="justify">• The two-piece tailgate allows unique variability in loading the luggage compartment: Opening the small, sedan-like tailgate beneath the rear window enables the driver and passengers, in combination with the closed partition wall, to load the luggage compartment without creating any drafts into the passenger compartment or changing the temperature the passengers wish to enjoy. To conveniently load bulky objects, in turn, all the driver has to do is open up the large tailgate similar in its confi guration to that of a Sports Activity Vehicle.</p>
<h2>Exterior design:</h2>
<p align="justify">• The BMW Concept 5 Series Gran Turismo combines the modern, up-todate interpretation of a Gran Turismo with four doors and all the prestige of a Sedan and the variability of a Sports Activity Vehicle. The proportions so typical of a BMW are borne out in particular by the long engine compartment lid, the long wheelbase, the coupé-like roofl ine, and the greenhouse moved far to the rear.</p>
<p align="justify">• The dynamic character of the car’s front-end design is accentuated by the large BMW kidney grille positioned low down and standing upright at the front, as well as the large air intake. Tilted to an angle, extending far round to the side and highlighted by a striking surround, the dual round headlights give the front end of the car a particularly modern look. The corona rings of the daytime driving lights, fi nally, come for the fi rst time in LED technology.</p>
<p align="justify">• From the side, the BMW Concept 5 Series Gran Turismo clearly visualises its innovative character, the striking waistline and the coupé-like roofl ine accentuate the elegant look of the car and the sheer length of the body. Following the example of a sporting coupé, the BMW Concept 5 Series Gran Turismo comes with four doors and frameless windows. The aluminium surrounds on the side windows are milled out of one solid unit and holding the elegantly designed exterior mirrors as yet another important design feature. Yet a further striking element on the side is the exciting re-interpretation of the famous “Hofmeister kink” so typical of BMW at the rear end of the window graphics.</p>
<p align="justify">• Horizontal lines at the rear emphasise the width and sporting character of the car, further accentuated by the waistline extending from the side into the rear panel, a three-dimensional chrome bar and the fl ared wheel arches. At 12:47 pm on November 12, 2008 the G-POWER HURRICANE RS, based on the BMW M5, set a new record as the world’s fastest <span style="border-bottom: 0.2em dotted #2b65b0 ! important; font-weight: normal ! important; font-size: 100% ! important; text-decoration: none ! important; padding-bottom: 0px ! important; color: #2b65b0 ! important; background-color: transparent ! important; background-image: none; padding-top: 0pt; padding-right: 0pt; padding-left: 0pt;">sedan</span> on the ATP High Speed Oval in Papenburg, reaching a top speed of 367.4 km/h. The four-door sedan is powered by a V10 SK III RS twin-compressor engine with 750 hp / 552 kW. G-POWER developed the engine in cooperation with ASA, a company renowned for producing OEM superchargers and for providing engineering services to the automotive industry. To safely attain such incredible speed the car was equipped with an aerodynamic-enhancement kit, a height-adjustable coil-over suspension and a high-performance brake system from G-POWER. The car ran on Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 high-performance tires mounted on G-POWER wheels. <span id="more-98"></span></p>
<p align="justify">Following up on a BMW M5 powered by a G-POWER twin-compressor engine with 730 hp /537 kW, which a few months earlier had set the record for the ‘world’s fastest BMW sedan’ at 360 km/h, G-POWER now took the next logical step, breaking the existing record for fastest sedan overall (Brabus Rocket, 365.7 km/h). With this goal in mind, development began on a new evolutionary HURRICANE RS stage with 750 hp.</p>
<p align="justify">For this stage, the twin compressor system of the fast-revving V10 was redesigned again. Both belt-driven ASA T1-313 superchargers, each providing charge air for one cylinder bank, were replaced by larger ASA T1-316 models. They have the capacity to increase the volume of charge air by up to 25 percent but only a fraction of that was utilized in this engine. The air volume these chargers are capable of would theoretically be sufficient for a rated power output in excess of 900 hp.</p>
<p align="justify">The pre-compressed air from both superchargers is cooled for maximum power yield in a dual-flow water-to-air intercooler painted G-POWER orange. This sophisticated cast-aluminum component replaces the stock airbox above the engine. Because of its close proximity to the engine it produces the same instant throttle response as the production engine, albeit with considerably more torque.</p>
<p align="justify">The inner workings of the ten-cylinder four-valve engine are optimized with forged high-performance pistons from Mahle that reduce compression. They have been precisely matched for weight and are much stronger than their production counterparts. The production piston rods and pins also had to make way for special components that can handle the much higher forces.</p>
<p align="justify">Further optimized mapping of the engine electronics also contributes to the increased power output of 750 hp / 552 kW, available between 7,500 and 8,000 rpm. The engine delivers its peak torque of 800 Nm at 5,000 rpm.</p>

<p align="justify">G-POWER engine technology is available for all current M5 and M6 models. The G-POWER SK III twin-compressor engine conversion with 730 hp / 537 kW starts at 56,000 Euros. Another option to celebrate the anniversary is a twin-compressor kit that boosts power output of the 5-liter V10 from standard 507 hp / 373 kW to 600 hp / 467 kW and increases peak torque from 520 to 600 Nm. It is available starting at 15,441 Euros.</p>
<p align="justify">In addition to the most powerful BMW engine ever to power a street-legal BMW, favorable aerodynamic properties were of elementary importance. The HURRICANE RS was equipped with a G-POWER “HIGHLINE” body kit. In addition to producing the desired downforce it is also designed to supply much more cooling air. It consists of front and rear aprons, rocker panels and a rear spoiler lip. <p align="justify">Two tons and a top speed of 367.4 km/h naturally place extreme demands on the tires, which were mounted on G-POWER light-alloy wheels. Technology partner Michelin provided high-performance Pilot Sport PS2 tires in sizes 255/35 ZR 19 in front and 305/30 ZR 19 on the rear axle. These tires were the only ones capable of handling the extreme stress. In everyday driving the G-POWER HURRICANE runs on 21-inch Silverstone Diamond wheels with size 255/30 ZR 21 and 295/25 ZR 21 tires.</p>
<p align="justify">Yet more contributions to the HURRICANE RS’s high-speed talents come from a G-POWER high-performance brake system and the continuously height-adjustable G-POWER coil-over RS suspension. It has nine selectable settings each for bound and rebound.</p>
<p align="justify">The standout cockpit of the record car features a speedometer with 400-km/h scale, clear-coated carbon-fiber panels for dash, center console and doors, as well as an ergonomically shaped G-POWER sport steering wheel with especially pleasant perforated Kjerba Nappa leather.</p>
<p align="justify">The G-POWER HURRICANE RS can be ordered as a complete car starting at 300,000 Euros. Any current M5 model – sedan or wagon – can also be equipped with the individual G-POWER components of the world record holder.</p>

As far as the latest project by <em>HAMANN-</em>Motorsport  is concerned, the name says it all: the Laupheim-based refiner called its  latest creation for BMW X6 <strong>TYCOON</strong>. This description has its roots in Japanese culture and is originally a synonym for an extraordinary shape – a comparison which can also be transferred to the X6-makeover.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>The TYCOON – an  auto-body pack which sets benchmarks </strong></p>

<p align="justify">Already the design department at <em>HAMANN-</em>Motorsport  ensures that the <strong>TYCOON</strong> meets the expectations in his name. They designed and developed an impressive broad makeover for this BMW crossover model and ensured that all accessories reflect and perfect the shape of the car. The masculine appearance of the <strong>TYCOON</strong> is mainly emphasised by its new front wings and back wing extensions made of light composite material. They broaden the body by striking 60 millimetres. The perfectly designed side skirts render the optical connection while the front apron is an outstanding eye-catcher with its large air inlets and the LED daytime running lights under the serial headlights. At the rear section of the X6, the <em>HAMANN</em>-engineers added a three-part diffuser to the original apron.  The back appearance of the <strong>TYCOON</strong> is  enhanced by a rear- and roof spoiler. It goes without saying that all used <em>HAMANN</em>-components do not only convince with their design but also with their aerodynamics. They ensure an optimised air flow over the car silhouette and render an additional downthrust.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>Perfectly styled  from head to toe – the suitable rim in XXL format </strong></p>
<p align="justify">The suitable rim for the broad makeover of the BMW X6 is the DESIGN EDITION RACE ANODIZED. The ultra-light forged wheel combines both agility and also elegance. The black rim star and the titanium bolting underline the dynamics of the wheel. The highly polished rim flange on the contrary gives the car a noble impression. <em>HAMANN</em> offers the 23-inch wheel with tyres sized 315/25 R 23. Special chassis springs fantastically enhance the light alloy wheels. The tuning expert bestows the X6 xDrive35i with an engine output of 360 hp / 265 kW at 5230 rpm. Parallelly, the maximum torque rises by 140 Nm to 540 Nm in the rpm-range between 1300 and 5000.<br />
At the same time, <em>HAMANN</em> also suspends the speed limit of 250 km/h and allows  impressive 275 km/h.</p>
<p align="justify">The <span style="border-bottom: 0.2em dotted #2b65b0 ! important; font-weight: normal ! important; font-size: 100% ! important; text-decoration: none ! important; padding-bottom: 0px ! important; color: #2b65b0 ! important; background-color: transparent ! important; background-image: none; padding-top: 0pt; padding-right: 0pt; padding-left: 0pt;">Diesel</span> series also profits from extra power. After the serial motronic is re-programmed, the xDrive30d has 265 PS / 195 kW and transfers a maximum torque of 600 Nm to the crankshaft. The engine variation xDrive35d also turns into a racy sprinter: <em>HAMANN</em> is able to tease 320 PS / 235 KW and a sensational torque of 660 Nm at 2000 rpm out of the Diesel car. Engine performance kits for the xDrive50i are already in the final stages of the development process. Moreover, sport mufflers by <em>HAMANN-</em>Motorsport can be adjusted to any performance kit. The product range includes a two-pipe and also four-pipe exhaust system which render a sonorous and earthy sound.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>The inner values of <em>HAMANN</em> – noble accessories for the TYCOON interior</strong></p>
<p align="justify">In addition to the present, serial inner design, <em>HAMANN</em> offers accessories made of high-quality aluminium.
